I converted to Wordpress, don’t really know yet what to think of it yet as an engine to drive this site. It is a very capable system to manage personal publishing in a weblog form and has a very slick - semi intuitive- interface. The whole range of plug ins enable you to do about anything, but perhaps not exactly the way you want it without breaking the core, making updating difficult. We’ll see how this goes, I was never really a blogger anyway, more of a once-uploaded-don’t-bother-with-it-again person.

Why does Wordpress stuff all the contents of the sidebar in an endless nested collection of ul and li tags that are xhtml-wise not quite there yet. The stinky part is Wordpress does within the core application so when you fix it, you’ll have to do it all over again the next time an update comes out.
